I love all of these recommendations—definitely have to check these out! And the little mood board at the end is so cute. Traveling solo is something I want to find the courage to do more often, thank you for this little bit of encouragement!
Ah happy you love my recommendations and the mood board (it's one of my favourite things to put together). I'm so glad I encouraged you to solo travel, even if just a little. It can be daunting, but it can also open a whole new world, as you do things differently than when you're traveling with someone else. Thanks for your support <3
Love this! I live in London, but took a solo day trip to Richmond over the weekend and loved it! Bookshops, pastries, reading in the park - so glad you had a lovely time! Considering a solo trip to Budapest next!! In Memoriam sounds right up my street too
What's it like living in London? I pretended I had just moved to the city when I was walking around haha, and besides the tube (which I definitely am not a fan of) I just adored everything about it. And there's so much to explore indeed! Richmond seems lovely - Kew Gardens is definitely on my list next time I visit London!
I went on a trip to Budapest with two girlfriend a long time ago and it has left a lasting impression on me. I'd love to go back.
I hope you pick up In Memoriam! I will write an elaborate review on it soon. It really hit so many of the markers that make a good book for me - beautiful writing, unique format and compelling characters. It drew me in and tugged at my heartstrings ❤️🩹
Haha I swear do that whenever I visit a new city too, and yes other than the tube, I love it! I've lived here for two years and there are still so many areas, cafés, and museums I haven't visited!
Oh amazing! I really want to visit. I look forward to reading your review for In Memoriam soon too, it sounds lovely 🩷
I know it can be scary but I also think certain places lend themselves better to solo travel than others (especially if you're a newbie like me). London was perfect for me (close by, no language barrier, people around so I felt safe and lots of stuff to do), but I think most cities are great. I like pretending I live there haha. If you ever need an nudge in the right direction, hit me up <3
LOVE this read Nora! Hope you enjoyed your trip to London - I adore solo travel but it's been a minute since I had a trip all by myself. Challengers is one of my films of the year so far (LOVED IT) and Please Please Please has been stuck in my head since it released lmao
I love reading all your stuff Madeline, thanks for the support <3
So far, I'm loving Cleopatra and Frankenstein. I wasn't convinced after the first chapter, but it surprised me with chapter 2 onwards. It's a book that keeps on giving, and I can't wait to read the other chapters and perspectives.
Please go watch Challengers! My orders, haha. I do recommend the cinema experience. It's thrilling.
