I love horror but I def went through a period when I was living alone and couldn’t handle anything scary (paranormal activity gave me psychotic nightmares). Now I’ve seen pretty much everything lol

I just watched The Barbarian, I was impressed with how good it was because I haven’t heard many people talk about it!

I know right!! A recommendation from my friend and such a good one, I had no idea where it was going at any given moment and that’s really impressive for a horror movie!

Same! I was so convinced of the things that were going to happen and shocked when they didn’t!

I saw Sinister when it came out in theaters and it was one of the scariest movies I've seen in awhile. I still think about it sometimes because it's so creepy. Great list of recs!

I can’t imagine having seen it in the cinema, what an experience it must have been!!

I relate so much to how your imagination used to make fictional horrors seep into your real life! As a teenager, I (involuntarily) watched Nightmare of Elm Street at a birthday party and I had to sleep with a light on for weeks... I'm hoping this is the spooky season I experience my own turning point with horror so I'm keen to check out these recommendations!

Oh no the real horror is the fact you were exposed to it against you will. I think especially Nightmare on Elm Street is one of those movies that can make someone not just scared of horror, but of sleeping altogether. Truly a recipe for disaster haha. I do hope you enjoy these recommendations but always listen to yourself and your limits <3
